The 6D ATR 1 Helmet is the first new technology we've seen in helmets in ages and brings to the table a revolutionary form of protection. The creative minds behind the concept for the ATR-1 helmet came from the MX world where they witnessed first hand the lack of protection being provided by helmets in low speed and oblique impacts. The brilliant idea to split the EPS layer into 2 segments, separated by rubber dampeners referred to as the Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) technology, provides protection across a broad range of impact scenarios. The ODS system helps slow the transfer of energy to the brain, works better to prevent concussions, and in extreme scenarios, works like any traditional EPS energy management. The other main benefit of the ODS is the ability to guard against angular acceleration, such as crashes where the head impacts the ground in a side strike, a feature traditional helmets can not do. In addition to the advanced protection package, the ATR-1 offers a premium Tri-matrix shell that is lightweight and compact and a fully removable and washable CoolMax interior. The ATR-1 has an impressive venting scheme, aided by the split EPS, with 11 intakes and 5 exhausts that will help keep the rider cool when working hard off-road.
