I made a sidetrip to Bangued Abra before going to Ilocos Norte along Manila North Road. Bangued is a landlock province and under the Cordillera Administrative Region. In Bangued you can see the beautiful bridge of Calaba crossing over Abra River. The route from Bangued to Nueva Era is not yet complete as of this documentation so we did not proceed further. It was a nice worth it trip as seeing long modular bridges really was fantastic!
