Honeycomb Brisket Board

Описание к видео Honeycomb Brisket Board

Here is my maple walnut honeycomb brisket board.

Honeycomb steps

1) Cut 18 comb pieces @ 13/16”x2”x36” with the table saw at a 60 degree angle on both sized to make the “V” shape-ish
2) Cut 36 border pieces @ 13/16”x3/16x36” at a 60 degree angle (Side borders)
3) Cut 18 border pieces @ 1 1/4”x3/16x36” at a 90 degree angle (End borders)
4) Run border pieces though drum sander until even thickness around ⅛”
5) Glue the 2 side border pieces to each side of a comb using clamps/brackets (I used a 3d printer to create even pressure for the clamps)
6) Run though drum sander or planer to get flat ends
7) Glue end border to the small side of comb
8) Cut one comb in half for square ends for the outer side and for a flat end for clamping
9) Sand to get crisp corners
10) Glue into panel
11) Remove extra glue and run though drum sander as few of times as possible as to not distort the honeycomb shape
12) Using crosscut sled square the panel
13) Cut the panel into 2” wide pieces (giving you 22 pieces)
14) Glue the honeycombs together making a whole comb
15) Finish off the cutting board with a juice groove and lots of sanding
16) Apply a nice oil and wax to seal the board.

Tips/suggestions:
- For step 10 if you have the time it would have been better to glue them one at a time to make up the panel.
- Also make sure that your jig for step 11 is flat and square as a warped one can cause uneven consistency
