What's The Secret To An INCREDIBLE Amano Shrimp Tank?

There's something about Amano Shrimp that's incredibly captivating, from their intricate patterns to their active behavior. Watching them clean my aquarium, nibble on algae, and interact with tank mates is always entertaining.

In January, I set up a 20-gallon long tank for my Amano Shrimp, featuring black substrate, two large Dragon Stones, Anubias Jade in the foreground, and Limnophila Sessiliflora in the background. For four weeks, I ghost fed the tank to establish the nitrogen cycle and build up biofilm and algae.

I added 20 Amano Shrimp (various types) and some Neon Tetras for color. Since then, the tank has been thriving with bi-weekly water changes.

Today, I'm doing some maintenance: removing Giant Duckweed, trimming plants, cleaning the front panel, and changing the water using aged, dechlorinated water to avoid stressing the shrimp. I'll also brush the filter and add Seachem Prime and API Accu Clear to keep the tank clean and clear.
