McDonald's Ad - Rayman 2: The Great Escape (2000, France)

Rayman! The guy with no limbs! The mascot created by French People! He has a two awesome modern games, Origins and Legends! He... is overshadowed by Rabbids and Just Dance... and buggy games! Though Mario+Rabbids is pretty good and managed to surprise everybody who thought the game was going to be crap. Which is understandable since the Rabbids popularity has garned a hatedom of many people, and Rabbids are rather annoying more than charming. But they catch the kid's delight all over the world, even getting them a McDonald's Happy Meal Tie in for Rabbids invasion. But we're not talking about the Rabbids Happy Meal. We're going to talk about the Rayman Happy Meal instead! Yeah, Rayman himself had a McDonald's tie in with his 3D platforming sequel, Rayman 2: The Great Escape, a game that's been on every console ever!

After the bit with Ronald McDonald in the opening, we see two children playing with the toys based on the Rayman game. Then a Silver Lum comes out of the Pirate toy and the scene turns into a dark blue color as the lum bounces around the room. The shelf begins to shake as objects from it fall down with the kids looking scared. Then the windows burst open with rushing waters, causing the kids to get to higher ground as it floods the room. Light glistens from the floorboards, then flashes white as the kids find themselves in the game world! There they find a Pirate ship and one of the Pirates from the game looming in front of them. The kids look worried. Then Rayman appears and the kids are joyous! He throws a silver lum at the pirate ship, causing it to explode and taking out the pirate with it. The three then run from the explosion as we cut back to the real world, with the children's mother coming into the room wondering what's up. Cut to the boy and girl, who are playing the Rayman 2 game on the PC, smiling.
