For new drivers, and quite a few full licence holders multi-lane spiral roundabouts are the thing of nightmares, especially if the driver is unfamiliar with the area.

However if you C.O.A.S.T. when doing these spiral roundabouts they are much similar than they might first appear.

In this video I go over several examples of the Pease Pottage multi lane roundabout in Crawley, this roundabout is very near the Crawley driving test centre, as such on your driving test you will almost certainly come across it.

The main key to spiral roundabouts is to give yourself sufficient time to read the road signs and road markings, and also be aware your position will alter as you navigate the roundabout, unlike a tradition roundabout where you just count the exits and do MSM before exiting.
