Strange Tales Annual #2 (Dramatic Reading)

Surprised? Confused?
You might have been expecting Issue #5 to be next on the list, however, I didn't want to stick strictly to The Amazing Spider-Man (1963) run only. I like to adapt certain other appearances of the Web-Head if I feel it is deserving and warranted. And Strange Tales Annual #2 is no exception.

One thing about Spider-Man, is that later on in the series, he has a close friendship with the Human Torch, and that seems to go as far back as these early issues where they both seem to have a rivalry going on. This issue not only features and stars the two dynamic Marvel heroes together, but it also marks the first appearance of them meeting together at the Statue of Liberty! So I thought that this issue was special in developing the relationship of the two heroes, despite their bickering!
Although the story itself is subpar in my opinion, the interactions between Spidey and the Torch are what really makes this issue entertaining and I just couldn't find it in myself to skip over it.

But don't worry, the next Issue on my list will be Issue #5 this time!
