Hi there, I bought some IKEA Alkalisk AA batteries a while ago - they were cheap - but I assumed they would be ok as IKEA have an excellent brand to protect. However, they are significantly under-size and when I fitted them into my Panasonic RF-B40 I thought it had developed a problem...until I fitted them into my Sangean 909x and that also didn't work. Turns out they were rattling around in the battery compartment they were so loose. Never had that problem ever before with either radio - or with any other radio for that matter except the Sony ICF-2001D which suffers a similar problem with ANY brand of 'D' cell.

Just thought I'd let you know.
