Biography:
Dr Laura Goodwin is an Associate Professor in Emergency Care at UWE, Bristol, and part of the REACH collaborative (Research in Emergency Care, Avon Collaborative Hub). Laura has published research in a variety of areas of urgent and emergency care, including: prehospital birth, paramedic involvement in end of life care, redirection and streaming in the emergency department, TXA administration in trauma, and airway management in cardiac arrest. She also has a background in maternity research (including a PhD in Midwifery at Cardiff University), which has involved research into ethnic inequalities in pregnancy outcomes, waterbirth and obstetric triage systems. Laura is especially interested in prehospital care, including prehospital obstetrics/maternity care.
