WTF Happened to Jackie Brown?

When Quentin Tarantino’s Jackie Brown hit theaters in the 1997 holiday season, the film didn’t explode into the cultural zeitgeist like his previous film, Pulp Fiction, had. Unlike that film, this was more of a straight adaptation of the novel Rum Punch by Elmore Leonard and told a more linear story. To some, it was a disappointment, but in the years that followed, Tarantino’s third film came to be viewed as an underrated gem and one of the best entires in his filmography.
