ADDITIONAL REVIEW NOTES:
So let’s take a look at the phone. I am used to larger phones, so although the 6.5” 120Hz amoled display makes the phone a bit larger, the plastic build keeps it light. As a guy, my clothes all have large pockets, but I could imagine anyone with smaller pockets or smaller hands might find this phone a bit too large. Of course this large size is necessary for the star of this phone, being the display. With a very small cutout for the 32mp selfie camera and the hidden in display fp sensor, this display is really high quality and has almost everything that $1000 phones have with regards to the display.

Visible in bright light. Great for gaming/media. Etc.
Samsung does screens best
Bezels are larger

The combination of a large and light phone makes it feel a bit cheaper than flagships, and I Think thethe all plastic build materials are to blame. With that said, I do think this phone looks really nice. It kind of reminds me of the S21 ultra from last year.

You can see it is a pretty clean looking phone (expandable storage, no headphone, volume/speaker/power/etc. But no DEX)

Some good news despite the light weight is that the battery is pretty impressive! I can pretty easily get over 6 hours of screen on time in a day before I get a low battery warning. I think most people could afford to charge this every 2 days.

Besides the somewhat cheap feel, my first complaint was with the charging. 25W fast charging fills the 5000mAh battery quickly, but I much prefer wireless charging when in my car or at my desk. Lacking wireless charging is a common compromise for mid range phones like this, but fortunately this does not make one of the other common compromises being the IP rating. Many midrange and budget phones have no water resistance rating and although they are less expensive, I still want to make sure my phone doesn’t die if I drop it in a puddle. The Galaxy A53 has IP67 water and dust resistance just like the top tier S-series

When it comes to cameras, (camera tour)
Does not come with a charger

* Camera test

So what has day to day use been like?
* I was using a pixel 6 pro and iPhone 13 pro before. This is clearly not as fast
* I am impressed by the value of this phone. Besides the speed, there is very little difference the average user will notice and it is a fraction of the cost
* The phone might need a screen protector and case to avoid scratching
* The FP sensor was fast and accurate but if your hands are wet, it can be problematic
* Dual speakers made media sound nice
* I changed the navigation, animations, and dark mode
