PONTOON vs ANGRY TEXAS PANHANDLE THUNDERSTORM!!!! Lake Meredith Texas

Texas Storms are no joke...they're even worse on the water!!!! We spent the weekend camping at Lake Meredith, our local lake, in the Texas Panhandle. We took our boats out on the water for a day of sun and relaxation. After a couple of hours we started to see rain in the distance to the West of us. We decided to start heading to the boat ramp about 4.5 miles to the east of “sandy beach”. We didn't get far at all when the rain started to get heavy. By the time we got halfway, a severe thunderstorm had began to move in our path to the boat ramp. The winds reached over 60mph and we received small hail which felt like needles piercing the skin each time it made contact. I could not see past the front of the pontoon. My son was on the pontoon with me and helped to guide us to the marina safely. Two of the boats with our group took damage and my younger son fell off one of the boats hurting his shoulder on the dock. Overall we all made it back safely to camp. Lake Life!!! It starts getting rough around 2:30
