Dr Derrick Wilkinson is a retired economist with nearly 40 years' international experience with the development, analysis, integration and coordination of global trade, environment and agriculture policies.

This includes over 10 years as a government official in Canada and the UK analysing and negotiating bilateral and multilateral trade agreements and trade disputes, and over 25 years with a a range of professional organisations working on UK and EU agrifood, environment and land management policy developments.

A former chief economist at both the NFU and CLA, he is the author of numerous pioneering publications and research projects, including in major peer reviewed journals.
