Sewing Tutorial Fitted Mini Dress + Sewing Pattern

I’m so excited to show you today how to sew this absolutely gorgeous Odette mini dress! The stunning design lines accentuate your beautiful figure, and the princess-like pleats on the flared drop-waist skirt pair perfectly with the delicate shoulder straps that you can customize to your hearts content :) This lined dress is held together with an invisible zipper closure at the back for a seamless, beautiful fit.

Here are the materials you’ll need:
1.1-1.7 m (1 1/4-1 7/8 yds) dress-weight woven fabric
1.1-1.7 m (1 1/4-1 7/8 yds) lining
40 cm x 3 cm (16”x1 1/4”) interfacing, 2 strips
1 m (40”) organza strip/ribbon
Invisible zipper - 46 cm long (18”)
Invisible zipper machine foot
Loop turner
Matching thread
Glasshead pins
Scissors
Measurement tape
Odette pattern

Choose a woven dress-weight fabric that will hold its shape, won’t stretch and isn’t see through. This would be something like a silk, cotton, linen, lightweight denim or even velvet. For my dress I’m using a beautiful satin. And for the lining, use a viscose or poly blend.
