Razor Quad 500 mod upgraded 800watt 36v motor with 48 V conversion

I had a 48V conversion kit put on my Razor Quad 500 but the motor kept burning out on me, so I did some research and I decided to try a 36v 800W motor. I knew it would not be direct bolt on but the size was not much larger than the 500 so I figure we could make it fit. To make this work we had to gear it correctly and we looked for the smallest and largest sprockets we could find that would fit the T8F chain. We put a 54 tooth sprocket in the rear and a 9 tooth pinion in the front. This gave it a 6 to 1 ratio. Originally, I wanted to go more aggressive than that, but this actually works well. You still have enough torque to get going but not enough for the little ones to get in trouble, but it does hit a high top speed of over 20MPH. I ended buying MOTOTPR Brushed DC Electric Motor 36V 800W for about $82 on amazon. I hope this helps others.
