MADNESS IN CIVILIZATION definitively is neither a residential block, nor a shopping centre. It is a new model designed for the development of future cities. In these cities, there will be a huge building. In this large and narrow building, people will be able to choose, according to their own needs, how to characterize their home and how to show it to everyone else.

A minimum vital space is proposed, included in a bar sized 7 meters width and 600 meters long. It is fragmented by three traffic lanes that act as a mean to access the building. It is also slightly separated from some party walls that conform the industrial network there. Placed in Vösendorf, MADNESS IN CIVILIZATION proposes a city as a habitat, as it is a growth model based on social relationships and their needs, and it serves as a big stage for the rest of the city. Indoors, it is found the creation area. It is a generative and communicative area where lifts, stairs, and platforms are mixed up and create a creative and participative environment. Outdoors, the building is a changing canvas. It is a famous front of building where the users can choose whether or not to show some aspects of their lives reflected there.
