～ This Album ～

Hmm... this is the end of the very first era of Final Fantasy Piano Collections. Still arranged by Sato, but it seems to me the three albums were getting better and better. VI here was quite approaching VIII, came a large gap six years after then. I don't have a detailed criteria for my judgement, it's just the several points again I see VI is better. It is worth mention that Nomura performs with quite a lot of her own additions to the written music, according to her understanding. Not too advanced, just some phrasing, but I think this made the album of VI better than IV and V for a major part.

Flaws on audio recording quality include, of course, sounded cheap, unclear, but more importantly, the inconsistency. I don't get why, it seems the tracks are mixed from several albums. Some tracks have a decent quality, like Cefca and the town theme, but some are bad, for Johnny C Bad... sort of self-explanatory. Usually the ears get familiar with one sound quality, even it's not good after some time we could still imagine how the music would be if it's recorded well. But here... just can't get to it so fast. Every tracks are changing...

Still, people don't care about these too much. Uematsu's melodies are in the higher priority. Given that this OST is considered one of the best composed, fans would love it's piano arrangements.

～ About the Project ～

There are many people here who do play the piano. To these people, these piano arrangements then doesn't only worth at listening to, but also reading the score. At least for me, I enjoy reading the score while listening to them very much. I can look at what's exactly going on in the music.

Since there is no one doing the scrolling score presentation of the Final Fantasy Piano Collections / Opera series, I'm taking this project then. Three more coming soon!
