This is the third episode of our Authentic Nepali Mukbang Series, where we celebrate and preserve Nepali culture and traditional foods. With today’s generation slowly drifting away from our roots, we’re putting in our effort to showcase the beauty of Nepali traditional cuisine to the world.

In this episode, I bring you an Authentic Gurung Mukbang, featuring the rich food culture of the Gurung community while wearing the beautiful Gurung traditional dress. I’ve also shared some history and interesting facts about Gurung traditions, culture, and their iconic food items.

The traditional Gurung food items included in today’s mukbang are:

Kodo ko Dhido (millet porridge)

Sel Roti (crispy rice doughnut)

Mutton Bhutuwa (stir-fried mutton)

Gundruk (fermented leafy greens)

Mahi Chop (fried fish)

Sukuti (dried meat)

Gyathuk (noodle soup)

Jhilinga (crispy snack)

Plaplake Roti (traditional Gurung flatbread)


These dishes represent the authentic flavors of Nepali Gurung cuisine. From the nutritious Kodo ko Dhido to the mouthwatering Sel Roti and flavorful Mutton Bhutuwa, every dish showcases the richness of Nepali traditional food.

This mukbang is not just about food but also about sharing Nepali culture, traditions, and history. It’s my small effort to promote and preserve the beauty of authentic Nepali cuisine for today’s and future generations.
