In this session, Dr. Judy shares Day 5 of Kidney Awareness Week. Today she covers what to feed dogs and cats who have been diagnosed with kidney disease. Dry kibble must be eliminated as the focus should be on feeding a high moisture diet. Also, normally, restriction of protein should not occur until later in stage four and not before. Phosphorus and sodium should be monitored as well, especially in the later stages. (Recorded on 3/18/2022)
