Since the beginning of this year, Russia has launched almost 1,000 missiles, about 2,800 Shahed-type attack drones, as well as almost 7,000 guided aerial bombs over Ukraine. Only 3% of Russian missiles, drones and guided bombs hit military targets, while 97% hit civilian infrastructure. After the March attack 2024 year, 80% of all Ukrainian thermal power plants were destroyed.
Restoring the Trypilska thermal power plant without sufficient air defense systems is a futile matter. Part of the hypersonic ballistic missiles that were flying in the direction of the station were shot down, but due to the lack of missiles for Ukrainian air defense systems, some of the Russian missiles still reached the target and destroyed the power plant.
