Manitoulin Island and Sandhill Cranes

This is part of my Bach's music series highlighting pieces from his many and diverse cantatas.

This video features a late summer flight over the hayfields of Manitoulin Island, Ontario on August 24, 2024. There were several flocks of Sandhill Cranes feeding in the hayfields. We were alerted to them, when we stopped, by their loud, trumpeting, musical rattling "gar-oo-oos" .

Music used are a few favourite pieces from Bach's cantatas.
