This is a video essay discussing the ps5, ps4, Pc and Mac title Bugsnax. I review and discuss the games complete storyline focusing on the empathy and emotions of the characters.

The grumpuses of Snaktooth isle all represent multiple facets of humanity, young horses uses them as a way to discuss greater issues, mental health, gender Identity, sense of belonging are all used to great effect to create a powerful rhetoric.

This video was a labour of love for myself, it was made over the course of several months, over the course of making it I went through 3 laptops, lost half of my footage, lost my presets and a number of other issues occured in its making.

This is not as much a review of bugsnax or a retrospective but rather a critique and a discussion of one of 2020s best indie games, one of the ps5s best games and an excellent first person adventure game.
