Let's Assemble a Simple Solar Car Kit

Wrong time of year for this really, no good sunshine to test it outdoors, but it caught my eye on eBay so I ordered it anyway. Simple construction took me under 20 minutes.
So many solar toys get bad ratings because people try them under modern LED or CFL bulbs that simply don't give the right light. Many of the listings and instructions clearly state what type of lighting is required but people simply don't understand how important that "minor" issue can be. Here in the UK for a large part of the year we not have suitable sunlight so you are forced to use electric lighting and that is when the modern lighting fails. Another issue is many modern houses have treated glass in their windows so even when the sun shines you get reduced power if you are inside so open the window or go outdoors.
