Dinagat Islands BUGKOSAN FESTIVAL 2023 - San Jose - 1st Place

Bugkosan Festival is a unique, festive, symbolic and culturally rich celebration in the province of Dinagat Islands that honors the solidarity and the Bayanihan spirit of its towns. It marks the founding anniversary of the province on every 2nd day of October and was first commemorated in 2008. Bugkosan Festival was taken from the bisaya word "bugkos" which means to bind, gather or unite". It features the story of how the islands came about through the legendary story of Prinsesa Dina and Prinsipe Gat.
