Exploring Austria 5 Fingers Dachstein Krippenstein Mountains

5 Fingers is a viewing platform in the Dachstein Mountains of Upper Austria on Mount Krippenstein in Salzkammergut region. It was named Five Fingers by virtue of its hand-like shape.

The 5fingers viewing platform in Obertraun is one of Austria's must-see places. Obertraun is about an hour away from Bad Ischl by public transportation. You can also visit it from Salzburg. It is about a 2-hour drive from Salzburg. The viewing platform is about a 30-minute hike from the Krippenstein Station of the Dachstein cable car line.
