Opening week of deer season brought its fair share of challenges and lessons. Deer movement was slow — just a few does and a small spike for me — but every sit taught me something new about early season patterns and patience.

The highlight of the week came when my buddy Huddleston tagged a solid public land buck, and I was able to capture the full recovery on camera. Even without a deer on the ground for myself, it was an awesome reminder of why we love this grind — the learning, the moments, and the friends that make it all worthwhile.
