Watch how I made this DIY growth chart with hand carved numbers. This is my first time carving anything and I was pretty nervous that I'd make a big mistake, but it turned out pretty nice!

I watched a video from Bill Schenher on how to carve letters. He does a really good job of explaining his approach and why you do certain things. This gave me enough to get started and gave me the confidence that I could do it.    • Видео  .

The growth chart is made from walnut and cherry. The walnut side is marked with feet and inches, and the cherry side is marked with centimeters (in 5 cm increments). The growth chart has a magnetic slider that works really well. It should make a great conversation piece.
