This video is informative and educational, aimed at helping people develop good sense by learning how fast the virus can spread in school settings and what outcomes could be due to different mitigation measures chosen and policies enforced in school to combating the virus. This DEMO is simple, including only students and teachers. When later deployed as a public education tool, face covering, testing and quarantine, and 6 feet apart social distancing mitigation measures can be configured based on chosen school policies. The website will allow users to configure their own settings to learn the corresponding outcomes respectively. An individual student can configure his/her daily schedule to see the probability for he/she to contract the virus.

This video includes the following 4 scenarios:

Scenario 1: 6 periods or modules a day; face covering is not strictly enforced, assuming 50% would wear face coverings. 6 feet apart social distancing is partially enforced, assuming 50% level if compared to a perfect situation. Testing and quarantine are also not strictly enforced, scaled at 50% if compared to a perfect implementation.
Only 18 days, all students and teachers are infected!

Scenario 2: 6 periods or modules a day; face covering is not strictly enforced, assuming 100% would wear face coverings. 6 feet apart social distancing is strictly enforced. Testing and quarantine are also not strictly enforced, scaled at 50% if compared to a perfect implementation.
After 100 school days or 20 weeks, 36 students and teachers are infected!

Scenario 3: 5 periods or modules a day; face covering is not strictly enforced, assuming 100% would wear face coverings. 6 feet apart social distancing is strictly enforced. Testing and quarantine are also not strictly enforced, scaled at 80¬% if compared to a perfect implementation.
After 100 school days or 20 weeks, only 30 students and teachers are infected!

Scenario 4: 5 periods or modules a day; face covering is not strictly enforced, assuming 100% would wear face coverings. 6 feet apart social distancing is strictly enforced. Testing and quarantine are strictly enforced, scaled at 100%, which is the perfect implementation.
After 100 school days or 20 weeks, no new students and teachers (but the original 2) are infected!

You will learn that protective/preventive measures are effective in combating the COVID-19 pandemic. You will know that developing good sense in the community matters.

We can surely reopen our schools if science-based best practices are well followed.
