Tony Brown: America Must Get Over Petty Nonsense

"Tony Brown's Journal" was among the longest running public affairs programs aired on PBS. Brown was an innovator in everything he achieved. Brown was the founding dean of the Howard University School of Communications. He was inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences' prestigious Silver Circle for lifetime achievement. He is the author of several books and many articles. Brown takes to task both political parties in this speech to the Georgia Public Policy Foundation. Brown challenges Americans to get up, get going, and if you want something, then do something to get it. This is a speech about personal empowerment. Brown celebrated his 80th birthday in April 2013.
