GR Auto Gallery is thrilled to offer this 1988 Volkswagen Cabriolet for consideration. This car has been in the same family since 1992. It was sold new in San Lois Obispo, CA. The car came dressed in Alpine White exterior paint over white plaid interior upholstery with white convertible top; A hugely desirable color combination.

This car remains outstanding original, low miles and factiously serviced throughout its charmed life. It has always been cared for, never driven in the rain, routinely serviced and documented. Actual mileage for this Cabriolet is 32776 miles. In July of 2000 the original odometer stopped working at 18516 miles and was replaced with the current speedo/odometer currently in the car showing 14260 miles. Close inspection of this car is encouraged and will reveal the accuracy of this information. The car remains in outstanding original condition in all areas. The original Alpine White exterior paint is exceptional, the original white plaid interior is amazing with a perfect dash, excellent seat upholstery, and remarkable upholster throughout. The rear bonnet area is mind boggling in condition with the original option sticke, rear tire and un disturbed carpeting.

Mechanically, this 1988 Cabriolet is awesome. Everything works, the car drives as new and has been routinely serviced and cared for. As far as cars for the “common man” of the 80’s, the VW golf / cabrio line was top of this list. This car is so clean, so exceptional and so original.
