A man gets arrested for possible DUI after passing out with his foot on the brake at a red light. RHPD deployed spike strips in front of his vehicle before waking him up. The driver was warned that he would pop his tires, but he decided to drive off anyway. The driver made a left turn onto Dave Lyle Blvd and stopped about 100 yards away from the intersection where police caught up to him and performed a field sobriety test. The driver was then placed in handcuffs after failing the test.
A rail car full of lumber catches fire at a rail yard near downtown Rock Hill prompting a quick response by Rock Hill Fire Department. There was a tanker containing a hazardous material connected directly to this train car. Thankfully the fire was extinguished quickly and no one was injured.
Looking back earlier in the week, we have some footage from Affinity Health where a female was in the center and pulled a handgun from a bag prompting an active shooter call. No one was injured and she was taken into custody.
