The Wuppertal Suspension Railway is an elevated railway in Wuppertal that opened in 1901 and is the city's landmark and most important tourist attraction. It has been a listed building since May 26, 1997.[2] The operating company is the Wuppertaler Stadtwerke (WSW) or its subsidiary WSW mobil, but the infrastructure belongs to the city of Wuppertal itself.
