"After the pandemic, I’ve been cranking up the tempo sometimes at the end of my sets, and in the summer of 2021 when I was closing a festival in France I remember at the end of my set, I wished I had a good remix or edit of the French vocal (Euro)Trance classic ‘Désenchantée’ cause that would’ve been perfect. So after I decided I’ll make one myself for future shows in France, Belgium and the French part of Canada where I perform regularly, so I made a pretty simple edit at first muting the very low frequencies of the original and adding a big warehousy techno kickdrum instead, and that worked fantastic already at a few of these shows in France, Canada and in the Netherlands in 2022, and it already started to get some traction online. So after 2022’s summer I went back into the studio and worked more on it, adding a few more elements like this happy hardcore binary voice synth arpeggio and some more percussion and fx to get it over the finish line. It’s been super fun to play this remix at the end of my sets, I’ve actually been working on a couple more tracks and remixes that are in a similar direction and I like to call this ‘EuroRave’, cause it’s not EuroTrance or Trance anymore, but it’s also not Hyper Techno or Techno. I hope you like it :)"
