SUMMER FLOWER CONTAINER MAINTENANCE 🌸

In today's video I’m inviting you to come along with me as I do some regular maintenance on my annual summer containers to help my flowers look their best! 🌺

I keep it simple by doing three things regularly:

GROOM by deadheading and trimming flowers back as needed. I also pinch plants such as Dusty Miller to keep them from getting leggy. I like a full, abundant look!

FEED my flowers with ‪@ProvenWinnersYouTube‬ Plant Food every third watering. In the height of summer that means more frequent feedings to ensure they get the nutrients needed to persevere and perform in hot, dry conditions. This is an absolute GAME CHANGER! I noticed a drastic difference after my very first time using this.

SPRAY my containers with Captain Jack’s BT spray to keep the budworms away. In my experience and area, budworms seem to really target petunias. I’ve noticed little bite marks followed by a drastic drop in blooms. 🐛
