What should classrooms look like? THIS!
Increasing numbers of children don't want to be in school and the classroom is part of the problem.

Here are some of the things that are not working:
🚫 Uncomfortable plastic chairs
🚫 Low, basic tables that take up all the space
🚫 An industrial, clinical atmosphere
🚫 Too much clutter on the walls
🚫 Bright colours
🚫 Bright, harsh lighting

What does work?
🌱 Comfortable furniture
🌱 A homely inviting atmosphere
🌱 Plants, lamps and soft furnishings
🌱 A space that feels inspiring
🌱 Places to regulate

Let's stop regurgitating the same old same old and start putting children first!
Once you see it, you can't unsee it!

I LOVE how much my therapeutic classrooms approach is spreading and I am loving all the projects I am working on right now.

This project was for Sandford Primary School, who are working with Dorset council to create a compassionate CCN hub in their school! We had the privilege of designing, sourcing and delivering this project to them! We are designing two classrooms, a sensory room and an office in stages. This is one of the finished classrooms.

They sent us these photos this weekend and said:

"It has been massively well received by children and staff, so thank you for the work you put in. We are seeing so many amazing therapeutic benefits already! The children accessing the space have generally been calmer and we have seen less moments of dysregulation and when we do see this, behaviours are generally lower level."

The rooms don't just look good, they have a significant impact on children unbelievably quickly!
