A clip from the Maui County Council Meeting held on 12/1/2023. This discussion is regarding the Mayors request to INDEMNIFY Herman Andaya via Resolutions 23-234 and 23-235. Instead of PREMATURELY deferring these Reso's to the G.R.E.A.T. Committee, Councilmember Tamara Paltin Motioned to file the two for a later date. Councilmember Keani Rawlins-Fernandez was voicing support of this motion and conferring with Corporation Council that it isn't illegal to take this subject matter in Committee via 7B. Councilmemeber Shane Sinenci later confirmed this clarification with Corps Council just before the vote.

Motion Passed. This means the two Resolutions will be filed for another date. Paltin explained it's too soon to move forward with anything until at least third party investigations have been completed.
