Trying to figure out what ADV Training company might provide the best adventure training course for you can be challenging. Today, my friend Jeremy and I discuss our first-hand experiences at two of the most popular adventure class purveyors:

RawHyde Adventures
West38Moto

We both attended a level one class in 2022 and give our feedback about the similarities and differences between both companies and their Level 1 class offerings. Jeremy and I are both coming from a primarily street background, just having dabbled a little bit in offroad riding.

I attended my West38Moto class in Arizona in May of 2022. The temps were just starting to get warmer, with temps hitting the upper 80s/lower 90s. We had 2 solid days of training covering a variety of Level 1 skills, such as:

Controls
Picking up the bike
Stance
Slow speed cone work (turns, figure 8s)
Hill climb methods
Hill descent methods
Sand riding

Jeremy attended RawHyde Adventures' class in October of 2022. He also had some heat to deal with, but it wasn't unbearable. Rawhyde provides a more 'turn-key' setting; offering lodging, meals, and a bar, but at a steeper price.
