HOW TO UNDERSTAND PAUL'S SIX GREATEST EPISTLES--Acts 18 & an Overview of Ancient Corinth

Dear Pilgrims,

Today we are starting through each of the 29 chapters of Paul's 1st & 2nd Epistles to the Corinthians in the classroom with our students.

As you know Bonnie & I travel between teaching sites in multiple countries. The students are usually local Asians wanting to reach Asia, or Europeans wanting to share the Gospel in Europe, or Africans or South Americans seeking to live for the Lord in Africa & S. America. That's what we have done since 2017, investing our lives as missionaries to the NextGeneration.

Remember that you are each on a journey with me through the entire New Testament.
We started walking through the Holy land and using 52 different places we studied all 4 Gospels and learned about the Life of Jesus.

Now we are in the next part of that journey as we go through Acts and see the context for Paul's Life and his 13 Epistles or Letters. here's a reminder of this 3 part journey using the Lands of the Book as our CLASSROOM, the Bible as our TEXTBOOK, and the Spirit of God as our TEACHER.

Part-1 The Gospels & Jesus Christ in the Land of the Book (4 Gospels)
Part-2 The Life & Letters of Paul (Acts -Philemon)
Part-3 The Final Epistles (Hebrews -Revelation)

Most Bible students aren't aware that Corinth is HUGE in our understanding of doctrine. All told 21% of the New Testament was either written TO the saints at Corinth or by Paul FROM Corinth as he lived and taught there for 18 months.

Those writings FROM Corinth are a tremendous insight into how Paul disciples early believers. The Corinthians were perhaps the most troubled and struggling of ALL the New Testament churches we know about--yet Paul never wavered in the systematic teaching of what most believers today would say are very DEEP truths.

There are six NT letters penned in or to that city of Ancient Corinth--1/2 Corinthians; 1/2 Thessalonians; Romans & Titus. Today you will see the geographical, historical, cultural & Scriptural backdrop for all these six Bible books from that city of Ancient Corinth. It is our prayer that this course will stir your lives to follow after Christ more fully than ever before!
