Описание к видео Global Teen Leaders: Youth Changemakers as the Future of Global STEM Education and Advocacy

Presented at the Science Summit at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA77)

What does the untapped potential of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) community look like? The answer is the youth of today – changemakers who focus on intertwining the sustainable development goals in their vision to build a “more just, equitable, and peaceful future.”

Representing eight countries (India, United States of America, United Kingdom, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Japan, and Colombia), we are a global group of youth leaders who are united in utilizing STEM and education as a catalyst for positive social change and meaningful impact in our communities.

Specifically, our youth-led session highlighted the importance of education and equity’s intersections with the SDGs, whether it be related to addressing the under-representation of marginalized voices in the STEM field or empowering fellow youth to gain in-demand technological skills and pursue further careers.
