YEMA CAKE without Oven | NO BAKE | with Pipeable Yema Frosting Recipe

Yema Cake with Frosting
This chiffon cake is incredibly light, soft and fluffy topped with rich, creamy yema frosting (not overly sweet).

✔️Batter
4 egg yolks
1/4 cup sugar [50 grams]
1/2 cup water [120 ml]
1/4 cup veg. oil [60 ml]
1 & 1/2 cups cake flour [175 grams]
1 tsp baking powder [4 grams]
1/4 tsp salt [1.5 grams]

✔️Meringue
4 egg whites
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 cup sugar [50 grams]

✔️Yema Frosting
4 egg yolks
1 cup milk (fresh or evap) [240 ml]
1 can condensed milk [300 ml]
1 & 1/2 tbsp cornstarch [12 grams]
1 tbsp butter [15 grams]

✴️Steam on medium heat for around 45 mins. or check doneness with toothpick until it comes out clean.
✴️Or bake in a preheated oven @ 170C for 45 to 60mins. Baking time may depend on the type of oven.
