Maldives Businessman Ahmed Nasid Talks About The Impact Of Backlash In Maldives

The Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators on Tuesday requested EaseMyTrip to re-open flight bookings to the island nation, stating that "tourism stands as the lifeblood of the Maldives".
This request by the Maldives travel agents' body came after EaseMyTrip suspended flight bookings to the Maldives after a row between the two countries over derogatory social media posts against Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his visit to Lakshadweep.
The Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators, in a letter to EaseMyTrip CEO, wrote, "MATATO humbly seeks your assistance and support in fostering positive relations and dispelling any misunderstandings that may have arisen and re-open EaseMyTrip flights to the Maldives."
