This video records one of the earliest discourses by Paramahamsa Hariharananda in the USA. Mahavatar Babaji had blessed and had prophesized in 1949 that Hariharanandaji (then Brahmachari Rabi Narayan) would spread the teachings of Kriya Yoga to East and the West. In fulfilling that prophesy Paramahamsa Hariharananda travelled to the West in 1974. This video was recorded at the Baptist Church at Manhattan, New York, USA on June 19, 1975. Here Paramahamsaji introduces Kriya Yoga as a scientific technique that leads to the simultaneous development of body, mind, intellect and soul. He tells the audience that all the religions talk about the perception, conception and realization of God, and there are thousands of scriptures available on those topics. However, human life is short and there are many obstacles on the way. We need the help of a Guide and a scientific technique to cultivate spirituality in our bodies which have become jungle of evil and darkness. One of his four Gurus, Paramahamsa Yogananda had described Kriya Yoga as the surest technique that provided the quickest means to success. Hariharanandaji goes on to talk about the invisible presence within and refers to Lord Jesus' teachings in the Bible about the seven churches and seven candle light in the churches.
