Promoting his government's plans for freeports the Prime Minister said “I think if you look at the attitude of the Scottish Government, it has been fantastic, I think they have really got the point and they can see the advantages of the freeports.

“I’m not allowed to give away the locations but they can genuinely drive huge numbers of jobs and growth.

“Here in Rosyth you’ve got a fantastic thing going on with the Type 31 frigate-building programme and that’s driving 2,500 jobs here in Scotland, and many, many more can be created with freeports.
