Indian Institute of Foreign Trade was opened in the busy city of Kolkata in the year 1963. The institute is famous for management courses in International Business Management and Strategy courses. It became one of the biggest business schools in the recent years and it offers many internationally recognized courses especially the Master of Business Administration in International Business (MBA-IB). The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) exam is the written entrance test for two-year MBA (International Business) programme at IIFT. IIFT is a leading business school in India. The IIFT exam is tough than CAT as it offers international courses to the candidates.

IIFT conducts a separate entrance test to select candidates. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours. Last year, the exam was conducted in offline (paper-pencil) mode. However, the Director of the Institute, Prof. Manoj Pant, has hinted that IIFT 2019 might be conducted in online (computer-based) mode. Based on marks obtained in the Written Test, candidates are further called for Essay Writing, Group Discussion, and Interview.
