“Calories in vs. calories out.” “Move More & Eat Less.”

Anyone who’s tried this advice knows weight loss isn’t that simple. Obesity, a medical disease, is about more than weight loss or even what you eat or exercise.

Obesity isn’t just a lifestyle choice.

Obesity isn’t just being “overweight.” In obesity, too much body fat builds up because of many things beyond diet and exercise. In addition, factors you can’t control, like where you’re born, live, or even systemic racism, make you more likely to have obesity.

You can control some things to overcome obesity, but first, you must understand your body.

Black Health's webinar series made by Black obesity experts is here to help you overcome obesity in a way that works for you.
