Third Eye Blind "God Of Wine" Guitar Lesson 🎸 -Open Tuning-

Описание к видео Third Eye Blind "God Of Wine" Guitar Lesson 🎸 -Open Tuning-

In this guitar lesson I'm going to teach you how to play "God Of Wine" by Third Eye Blind. This song is played in an alternate open tuning that creates a very pretty melancholy drone type of sound. God Of Wine is a lot of fun to play on the guitar. It also gives you an opportunity to twist a bunch of knobs and dial in several unique guitar tones. God Of Wine is mostly based on alternate picking and a heavy right hand rhythm. There isn't a lot of chord changes involved. The timing, tone and feel is everything on this one. I also included tablature of how I am playing it. This will be helpful when learning the picking patterns for the intro and verse. On the recording it sounds like this was played live in one take. I say this because the guitarist never picks the verse part the same way twice. There are slight variations throughout. God of wine is a song that I have so many great memories attached to. Third Eye Blind's first two albums are very well written and produced and quite underrated. The guitar tones they got were incredible. The shimmering clean tones, spacey delays and reverb, and overdriven feedback really had an impact on me as a kid. I highly recommend you give them a listen if you are not familiar with these records. These songs still hold up 25 years later. It's not just the nostalgia talking. I hope you find this guitar lesson for Third Eye Blind's "God Of Wine" to be helpful. Until next time, practice with a beat and have fun! ‪@borderlineguitarguy‬
