What's in a story? When you see an older person what do you see?
Stories are illuminating, they add value, they add meaning, and what's more sharing a story with someone, has immeasurable value, because stories are gifts.
This program on story telling shows us how getting to know the people you support through their stories is beneficial for them, their families and for all of us.
The people featured in this program explain how story telling has given them a sense of worth and acknowledgement of their lives and experiences. Staff explain that knowing more about peoples life stories, enhances their relationships and assists them in delivering person-centred care.
