For over 15 years I've been a working musician. And in all those 15 years I've made my living 100% solely through music. I do a combination of performing, recording, contracting, and teaching to make this work for me. I've had to do a lot of traveling on airplanes. I've had to listen to a lot of crappy songs over and over lol. But it beats digging ditches.

It feels like 90% of musicians are broke, and 10% are filthy rich. But there are a small minority of musicians like me who make a good living, unlike the majority who fall into bimodal salary distribution.

I'm normally based in Los Angeles, and flying other places. Although I always spent loads of time outside of LA, for the past couples years I've been pretty bicoastal. So this was kind of a weird reverse trip instead of the usual.

I flew with just one guitar, and one back pack (full of clothes and 2 pedals).

On this 48 hour stretch I fit in a ton of lessons, a couple student jams, and an all day recording session where we recorded an entire album in the studio. It's important to work with people you like, and I am lucky that everyone was really great, friendly, easy to work with, and it was a pleasure!
