Here's a solution for your hot water tanks that won't stay lit!! There are other tanks that have light sensors, flame sensors and someone, if that's yours this will still work. You'll have to make sure the other sensors on your tank are all working though. This can be accomplished with a $10 multi metre and basically zero knowledge of electronics. There are tutorials galore for testing these sorts of things.
