One of the most important shaheeds(martyrs) of Sikhism. Cruely murdered by Islamic zealots many centuries ago in India. He chose the pious path of death and martyrdom with the 9th guru of Sikhism (guru Teg bhuhadur) than cowardly cave into forced conversion to dark cowardrly demonic forces of islam.

His shaheedi shows unconditional love for his guru who sacrificed his life for freedom of religious expression and worship. Guru teg bhahadur laid down his life so that kashmiri hindu brahmin pundits could stay hindu's as mughul emperor aurangzeb was challenged to convert the Guru to Islam in which the pundits would follow suit. But the Guru did not convert and in the end perfered death than conversion marking an historic moment that would destory the crediblity of islam and forcing Sikhs to become increasingly hositle to islamic rule and militant, taking up arms in their thousands to defend their faith from extreme persecution and oppression of cruel successive muslim rulers and invaders of the region.
